Christine Wright is a grandmother, a yoga teacher, a traveler and a curious human being.
In her day job she is the editor of a Canadian floral design magazine.
In the last several years she has sought the teachings of the native american people -their customs, beliefs and ways of living in harmony with our mother earth. During this journey she has attended sweat lodges, dances and sacred ceremonies and has been taught the art of drum making and the ways that the rhythm of the drum can heal us.
During this month's Wise Women Circle, Christine will share some of the wisdom she has learned and will offer a guided drum healing journey for all of the women present.
The drum is a sacred tool that has been used since the beginning of time in every culture. The drum carries within it the heartbeat of our mother earth and connects our own heartbeats to the same rhythm.
Some of the physical benefits of drumming include boosting our immune system, releasing pain, balancing the right and left hemispheres of our brain, and bringing a sense of peace and deep relaxation
