Confornting failing systems and turning helplessness into art
In this workshop we will use the helplessness we feel toward global power structures as a powerful creative tool and a place from which we reimagine our exchange with the world.
The struggle right now is a creative struggle: the world has been segmented off, each piece of it has been claimed and removed from the whole. What will we do to bring these pieces together? Only the act of creating will gather us into a new correspondence not governed by ignorance, fear, and denial. What we are trying to heal isn’t our selves or the world but the connection, the conversation between them. This class above all is a place to subvert our old instincts, and choose together to find a new way to live here.
The workshop is led by Tamsin Clement, each Sunday from 10am-12pm. Admission is $10.
