Contemplating Consciousness Community with Colby Hassard
This beginners mindfulness group will consist of experiencing connection, mindfulness education through exploring Jon Kabat-Zinn’s book “Mindfulness for Beginners” and will practice 10-20 minutes of meditation.
Each week we go over a chapter. We openly, constructively and casually discuss the principles and ideas. Then after some education and discussion, we practice meditation.
Hope you can come and check out this mindful and connecting experience as this little group grows. We get to learn from our own thoughts, experiences, along with others in a group setting. If you’d rather not participate and want to observe that’s just as appreciated.
I have been dedicated to mindfulness education and practice for 2.5 years now. My career and education background is in psychology, social work. I practiced as an addiction therapist for 3.5 years. I’m now currently growing my own life and cold coaching practice. I do have an intense fascination and drive with cold and healthy discomfort, hence the name of the group. I can't help but talk and teach about that sometimes!
